Overview

Unlayer is an email template builder and does not send email campaigns or transactional emails to your recipients.

To deliver emails to your audience, you'll need to integrate your own email server or use an Email Service Provider (ESP) such as Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, or another email delivery service.

Sending Test Emails

The Unlayer editor does support sending test emails.

Test emails allow you to send your current email design to a configured email address so you can:

  • Preview how the email looks in a real inbox.

  • Verify formatting before sending a campaign.

  • Test rendering across different email clients.

This feature is intended only for testing and is not designed to send emails to your end users or subscribers.

For setup instructions, see our documentation:
https://docs.unlayer.com/builder/email-builder/test-email

Sending Email Campaigns

Unlayer does not send:

  • Marketing campaigns

  • Newsletters

  • Transactional emails

  • Automated emails

  • Emails to your customer lists

Once you've designed your template in Unlayer, you can export it and send it using your own backend or Email Service Provider.
